Exploring the Trans America Trail – Outdoors with Wheels Episode 3

Segment #1  TAT with Sam Correro, the founder of the one and only, original Trans America Trail join Lynn and Donny on Episode 3 of Outdoors with Wheels. Sam regales us with tales of bears and the work that goes in behind the scene to bring us a safe, updated and navigable trail across the United States.

Segment #2 We also visit with Troy Strand about the off-road trails in the San Bernardino National Forest near Big Bear Lake in Southern California. From rock crawlers to dirt bikes the trails above Big Bear Lake offer opportunities for riders and drivers from novice to expert level. Troy and his sons have camped and visited the towering forest for years and bring tons of detailed information about the trails. Troy also works in the energy segment and brings some interesting information about the future of residential home construction and the move towards net-zero energy consumption. Your electric vehicle may play a part in meeting ever increasing construction guidelines.

The Trans America Trail – Sam Correro

Sam has spent the last decade developing the TAT.

The Trans-America Trail  (AKA: the “TAT”) is a west bound dual-sport motorcycle ride across America.

The Trail starts in Southwestern North Carolina, and ends at the Pacific Ocean in southwestern Oregon – nearly 5,000 miles of mostly off-pavement riding.
